Mein Regenschirm brach aufgrund der St\u00e4rke des Windes und der Intensit\u00e4t des Regens zusammen. Es war an der Zeit, Buenos Aires in Richtung eines milderen Klimas zu verlassen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Verlassen von Argentinien<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Normalerweise verlassen wir Argentinien Mitte April, ab 2022. Das ist unser Muster. Die s\u00fcdliche Hemisph\u00e4re beginnt ihre Herbstsaison, f\u00fcllt den einst blauen Himmel mit Wolken und Regen und bringt die k\u00fchlen Winde des S\u00fcdens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dieses Jahr reisen wir Ende des Monats ab, da ich hoffe, dass die n\u00f6rdliche Hemisph\u00e4re bis dahin etwas w\u00e4rmer sein wird.<\/p>\n\n\n

Ich schaute auf die Wetter-App auf meinem Handy und sah, dass die Temperaturen tags\u00fcber in den niedrigen 70ern lagen, aber nachts auf die hohen 50er fielen. Sonnenschein, viel Sonne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ich hasse es, zu frieren. Ich erinnere mich daran, wie mein Vater denselben Satz sagte, und ich musste kichern, als ich an diese Erinnerung an ihn dachte.<\/p>\n\n\n

Erinnerungen <\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Ich erinnere mich noch gut daran, wie viel Spa\u00df es machte, an einem sonnigen Morgen mit f\u00fcnfundzwanzig Grad auf frisch pr\u00e4parierten Kordelschneepisten Ski zu fahren. Die frische Luft gab dem Tag eine ganz besondere Note. Die Piste war relativ leer, und die Fahrt den Berg hinunter l\u00f6ste in mir ein Gef\u00fchl der Freude aus, das ich als das Wei\u00dfe in meiner Seele bezeichnete. Kein Denken, nur Tun und einfach im Moment sein.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So f\u00fchle ich mich, wenn ich Tango tanze. Die Gl\u00fcckseligkeit beim Tango tanzen ist in meiner Seele einfach nur Gl\u00fcck und Verbindung.

Ironischerweise brauche ich immer noch spezielle Kleidung und Schuhe, aber mir ist nicht mehr kalt. Stattdessen muss ich daran denken, einen Schal mitzunehmen, da es in sozialen Clubs normalerweise etwas k\u00fchl ist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wir packen ein!<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Gl\u00fccklicherweise lassen sich diese Kleidungsst\u00fccke leicht in Packw\u00fcrfel packen, aber die Schuhe sind etwas schwieriger. Ich werde mit nur vier Paar Tangoschuhen reisen; als Reisender versuche ich, die Kunst des \u2018weniger ist mehr\u2019 zu praktizieren. [Mit weniger auskommen; wenn etwas ben\u00f6tigt wird, k\u00f6nnen wir einkaufen.]<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Weniger Kleidung, weniger Gewicht. Weniger Pfunde, die mein Partner tragen muss. Meine Aufgabe ist es, die Koffer zu packen, und seine ist es, sie zu tragen.<\/p>\n\n\n

Wenn ich mich in der Wohnung umsehe, denke ich an die sch\u00f6nen Momente, die wir hier verbracht haben. Wir haben f\u00fcr Freunde gekocht, ein paar neue Tangoschritte ge\u00fcbt, und ich habe den Kl\u00e4ngen des Bandoneons gelauscht, w\u00e4hrend mein Partner \u00fcbte. Die f\u00fcnf Monate, die wir hier gelebt haben, sind so schnell vorbeigegangen. Es war wundervoll.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Als ich aus dem Fenster schaute, um zu sehen, ob es regnete, dachte ich. Ich bin bereit, Buenos Aires zu verlassen, denn ich wei\u00df, dass wir im Dezember zur\u00fcckkehren werden.

Zu meiner Person: Ich bin in New Jersey geboren, habe in New York, Boston und San Francisco gelebt, zuletzt auf der Insel San Juan im Bundesstaat Washington und bin im Januar 2020 nach Buenos Aires gezogen. 38 Jahre lang kuratierte ich eine Galerie f\\u00fcr zeitgen\\u00f6ssische Kunst, wo ich meine F\\u00e4higkeiten verfeinerte und ein visueller Redakteur wurde. Immer mit einer Kamera oder irgendeinem Bildaufnahmeger\\u00e4t im Schlepptau [einschlie\\u00dflich viel schwerer Ausr\\u00fcstung], begann ich ungef\\u00e4hr zur gleichen Zeit mit dem Reisen und wurde vor etwa 12 Jahren in den Tango eingef\\u00fchrt. VIsuales Geschichtenerz\\u00e4hlen beginnt mit einem Moment. Irgendein innerer Mechanismus wird durch eine Szene, ein Ereignis oder eine Bewegung ausgel\\u00f6st und ... fertig ist das Foto. In anderen F\\u00e4llen geht es um einen Farbsplitter oder etwas anderes Ungew\\u00f6hnliches oder Gew\\u00f6hnliches, das den Blick fesselt. Da ich inzwischen flie\\u00dfend Spanisch spreche, ist es mein Wunsch, dass meine Geschichten und Fotos die breitere Tango-Community und andere Reisende erreichen. With my written stories, I try to share some of the experiences that have stayed with me... An amazing embrace, a beautiful meal, a slightly uncomfortable life moment at a\u00a0stay a train station or airport. These are the moments we remember. As to my personal info, I was born in New Jersey eventually, after living in New York, Boston, and San Francisco, most recently on San Juan Island in Washington state, I moved to Buenos Aires in January 2020. For 38 years, years I curated a contemporary art gallery, where I refined my skills and became a visual editor. Always with a camera or some picture-capturing device in tow [including much heavy equipment], I started my travel at approximately the same time, was introduced to tango about 12 years ago. VIsual storytelling begins with a moment. Some internal mechanism is triggered by a scene or event or movement and ...there's your photo. Other times, it\u2019s about a sliver of color or something else odd or ordinary that captures the eye. As I am now fluent in Spanish, it is my desire that my stories and photos reach the broader tango community and other travelers. Travelingtango offers translations into Spanish, Italian, and German.
