Am Samstagabend fanden wir im Herzen von Taskim den Blues Club Kumsaati Blues Club. Der Club fasst etwa 50 Personen, und um Zutritt zu erhalten, muss man von der Stra\u00dfe aus die Treppe zum Keller hinuntergehen. Hier herrscht eine Atmosph\u00e4re wie in Greenwich Village in den 1970er Jahren. Das Bier wird vom Fass gezapft, die Musik ist laut und gut und das Rauchen ist nur drau\u00dfen erlaubt. Es war eine lustige Erfahrung, in einem Club in Istanbul zu sitzen und 3 Typen zuzuh\u00f6ren, die Blues-Riffs auf ihren Gitarren schmettern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sp\u00e4ter in der Nacht gingen wir um 1.30 Uhr morgens zur Hauptstra\u00dfe, aber wir waren nicht m\u00fcde. Also gingen wir auf die Suche nach mehr Musik.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wir haben einen tollen Club f\u00fcr n\u00e4chtlichen Jazz gefunden. Coq Coq Pera ist ein thail\u00e4ndisches Restaurant die Stra\u00dfe hinunter vom Pera Palace, das traditionelles thail\u00e4ndisches Essen in einer sch\u00f6nen Umgebung serviert

Taskim bei Nacht<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

An dem Abend, an dem wir da waren, gab es ein Jazz-Trio, Stand-up-Bass, Saxophon und Gitarre mit einer gef\u00fchlvollen S\u00e4ngerin. Der Raum ist eine Mischung aus intimer Bar mit ein paar Sofas und St\u00fchlen. Wir haben versucht, auf dem Boden Tango zu tanzen, aber wir brauchten andere Schuhe oder Puder, hatten aber trotzdem viel Spa\u00df beim Spielen mit den Jazz- und 60er-Jahre-Kl\u00e4ngen<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Am n\u00e4chsten Tag, nachdem wir die Geburtstage von zwei Krebsfreunden gefeiert hatten, beschlossen wir am Sonntagabend, wieder tanzen zu gehen. Wir suchten nach einem Ort, an dem wir noch mehr Salsa tanzen konnten... in einer t\u00fcrkischen Stadt war es gar nicht so schwierig, einen Latino-Tanz zu finden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wir fanden es im Grand Pera AVM, einem Einkaufszentrum mit einem gro\u00dfen offenen Raum im obersten Stockwerk, in dem in einem Bereich Salsa-Kurse und in einem anderen Raum Batcha-Kurse angeboten wurden, wobei st\u00e4ndig lateinamerikanische Rhythmen gespielt wurden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In meiner Tango-Serie zeige ich Bilder aus aller Welt, die ich an den Orten aufgenommen habe, an denen ich getanzt habe: Spanien, Frankreich, Deutschland, T\\u00fcrkei, Kanada, Italien, Griechenland und die USA, aber haupts\\u00e4chlich in Buenos Aires, Argentinien. Mit meinen geschriebenen Geschichten versuche ich, einige der Erfahrungen zu teilen, die bei mir geblieben sind... Eine wunderbare Umarmung, eine sch\\u00f6ne Mahlzeit, ein etwas unangenehmer Lebensmoment bei einem Aufenthalt an einem Bahnhof oder Flughafen. Das sind die Momente, an die wir uns erinnern. Zu meiner Person: Ich bin in New Jersey geboren, habe in New York, Boston und San Francisco gelebt, zuletzt auf der Insel San Juan im Bundesstaat Washington und bin im Januar 2020 nach Buenos Aires gezogen. 38 Jahre lang kuratierte ich eine Galerie f\\u00fcr zeitgen\\u00f6ssische Kunst, wo ich meine F\\u00e4higkeiten verfeinerte und ein visueller Redakteur wurde. Immer mit einer Kamera oder irgendeinem Bildaufnahmeger\\u00e4t im Schlepptau [einschlie\\u00dflich viel schwerer Ausr\\u00fcstung], begann ich ungef\\u00e4hr zur gleichen Zeit mit dem Reisen und wurde vor etwa 12 Jahren in den Tango eingef\\u00fchrt. VIsuales Geschichtenerz\\u00e4hlen beginnt mit einem Moment. Irgendein innerer Mechanismus wird durch eine Szene, ein Ereignis oder eine Bewegung ausgel\\u00f6st und ... fertig ist das Foto. In anderen F\\u00e4llen geht es um einen Farbsplitter oder etwas anderes Ungew\\u00f6hnliches oder Gew\\u00f6hnliches, das den Blick fesselt. Da ich inzwischen flie\\u00dfend Spanisch spreche, ist es mein Wunsch, dass meine Geschichten und Fotos die breitere Tango-Community und andere Reisende erreichen. In my tango series, I share images shot worldwide, in the places where I have danced: Spain, France, Germany Turkey,Canada,Italy Greece, and the USA, but mostly in Buenos Aires, Argentina. With my written stories, I try to share some of the experiences that have stayed with me... An amazing embrace, a beautiful meal, a slightly uncomfortable life moment at a\u00a0stay a train station or airport. These are the moments we remember. As to my personal info, I was born in New Jersey eventually, after living in New York, Boston, and San Francisco, most recently on San Juan Island in Washington state, I moved to Buenos Aires in January 2020. For 38 years, years I curated a contemporary art gallery, where I refined my skills and became a visual editor. Always with a camera or some picture-capturing device in tow [including much heavy equipment], I started my travel at approximately the same time, was introduced to tango about 12 years ago. VIsual storytelling begins with a moment. Some internal mechanism is triggered by a scene or event or movement and ...there's your photo. Other times, it\u2019s about a sliver of color or something else odd or ordinary that captures the eye. As I am now fluent in Spanish, it is my desire that my stories and photos reach the broader tango community and other travelers. Travelingtango offers translations into Spanish, Italian, and German.
