Mit dem Abschluss des Cappadocia Tango Maraton am Sonntag zogen wir in ein anderes Lokal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Von den H\u00f6hen Kappadokiens [1000 m] bis zum Meeresspiegel von Marmaris, einer kleinen Stadt an der t\u00fcrkischen Mittelmeerk\u00fcste, setzen wir dieses Abenteuer fort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ich m\u00f6chte einige Einblicke \u00fcber Cappadocia Tango Maraton geben. Zun\u00e4chst einmal war es eine wunderbare Erfahrung. Die Menschen, die wir getroffen haben, waren sehr herzlich und neugierig. Sie kamen aus der ganzen T\u00fcrkei, dem Libanon, Russland, der Ukraine, Italien und Israel und sprachen viele Sprachen und alle ein bisschen Englisch. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Getanzt wurde in geschlossener Umarmung, und die Musikalit\u00e4t war gut. Die etwa 250 Tangueras waren zwischen 25 und 75 Jahre alt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Haarfarben in allen Schattierungen und viele Glatzen waren zu sehen. Viele der kahlen M\u00e4nner trugen ein Kopftuch, um den Schwei\u00df aufzufangen. Vielen Dank daf\u00fcr. Einige mit riesigen Haarstr\u00e4hnen b\u00e4ndigten sie mit einem Wickelband. Viele M\u00e4nner trugen Pferdeschw\u00e4nze in verschiedenen H\u00f6hen auf ihren K\u00f6pfen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Und die Frauen waren sehr leger gekleidet, mit Shorts und einem sehr kleinen Oberteil, bis hin zu totaler Tango-Kleidung... die meisten sahen sehr sch\u00f6n aus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die DJs f\u00fcr das Festival waren sehr gut, einige der Tandas bestanden aus einem Orchester, w\u00e4hrend ein DJ verschiedene Orchester in der Tanda spielte. Jede Tanda und jeder DJ schuf einige exquisite Verbindungen mit den Partnern und der Tanzfl\u00e4che.

Eine Sache, die ganz anders war als bei anderen Festivals oder Maratons, war die Anzahl der herumlaufenden Kinder. Viele T\u00e4nzer brachten ihre M\u00fctter als Babysitter mit, w\u00e4hrend andere sich selbst um die Kinder k\u00fcmmerten. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ich freue mich darauf, n\u00e4chstes Jahr wiederzukommen, denn der Hei\u00dfluftballonflug bei Sonnenaufgang wurde wegen Wind und Staub f\u00fcr 3 Tage abgesagt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wir ahnten nicht, dass auch unser n\u00e4chster Flug gestrichen werden w\u00fcrde. Dies war wirklich eine schwierige Zeit, da wir die Stornierung fast am Flughafen erhielten. Turkish Airline buchte uns auf einen anderen Flug von einem anderen, eine Stunde entfernten Flughafen um. Und an diesem Flughafen herrschte totales Chaos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Durch diese \u00c4nderung verpassten wir unseren Anschlussflug von Istanbul zum Flughafen Mugal-Marmaris.
Wir blieben schlie\u00dflich einige Stunden in der Turkish Airlines Inlandslounge, wo wir fast bequeme St\u00fchle und eine gute Auswahl an Speisen vorfanden. Das Beste am Turkish Airline Club ist, dass es Busse gibt, die einen direkt zum Gate bringen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nach einigen Schwierigkeiten kamen wir also in Marmarais an und verbrachten ein paar Tage am Strand und in der Sonne, bevor wir f\u00fcr eine Woche nach Rhodos in Griechenland aufbrachen.

In meiner Tango-Serie zeige ich Bilder aus aller Welt, die ich an den Orten aufgenommen habe, an denen ich getanzt habe: Spanien, Frankreich, Deutschland, T\\u00fcrkei, Kanada, Italien, Griechenland und die USA, aber haupts\\u00e4chlich in Buenos Aires, Argentinien. Mit meinen geschriebenen Geschichten versuche ich, einige der Erfahrungen zu teilen, die bei mir geblieben sind... Eine wunderbare Umarmung, eine sch\\u00f6ne Mahlzeit, ein etwas unangenehmer Lebensmoment bei einem Aufenthalt an einem Bahnhof oder Flughafen. Das sind die Momente, an die wir uns erinnern. Zu meiner Person: Ich bin in New Jersey geboren, habe in New York, Boston und San Francisco gelebt, zuletzt auf der Insel San Juan im Bundesstaat Washington und bin im Januar 2020 nach Buenos Aires gezogen. 38 Jahre lang kuratierte ich eine Galerie f\\u00fcr zeitgen\\u00f6ssische Kunst, wo ich meine F\\u00e4higkeiten verfeinerte und ein visueller Redakteur wurde. Immer mit einer Kamera oder irgendeinem Bildaufnahmeger\\u00e4t im Schlepptau [einschlie\\u00dflich viel schwerer Ausr\\u00fcstung], begann ich ungef\\u00e4hr zur gleichen Zeit mit dem Reisen und wurde vor etwa 12 Jahren in den Tango eingef\\u00fchrt. VIsuales Geschichtenerz\\u00e4hlen beginnt mit einem Moment. Irgendein innerer Mechanismus wird durch eine Szene, ein Ereignis oder eine Bewegung ausgel\\u00f6st und ... fertig ist das Foto. In anderen F\\u00e4llen geht es um einen Farbsplitter oder etwas anderes Ungew\\u00f6hnliches oder Gew\\u00f6hnliches, das den Blick fesselt. Da ich inzwischen flie\\u00dfend Spanisch spreche, ist es mein Wunsch, dass meine Geschichten und Fotos die breitere Tango-Community und andere Reisende erreichen. In my tango series, I share images shot worldwide, in the places where I have danced: Spain, France, Germany Turkey,Canada,Italy Greece, and the USA, but mostly in Buenos Aires, Argentina. With my written stories, I try to share some of the experiences that have stayed with me... An amazing embrace, a beautiful meal, a slightly uncomfortable life moment at a\u00a0stay a train station or airport. These are the moments we remember. As to my personal info, I was born in New Jersey eventually, after living in New York, Boston, and San Francisco, most recently on San Juan Island in Washington state, I moved to Buenos Aires in January 2020. For 38 years, years I curated a contemporary art gallery, where I refined my skills and became a visual editor. Always with a camera or some picture-capturing device in tow [including much heavy equipment], I started my travel at approximately the same time, was introduced to tango about 12 years ago. VIsual storytelling begins with a moment. Some internal mechanism is triggered by a scene or event or movement and ...there's your photo. Other times, it\u2019s about a sliver of color or something else odd or ordinary that captures the eye. As I am now fluent in Spanish, it is my desire that my stories and photos reach the broader tango community and other travelers. Travelingtango offers translations into Spanish, Italian, and German.
