Den Sonnenuntergang einfangen<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Die Zeit vergeht wirklich wie im Flug, so wie damals, als wir in Florida lebten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Letzten Freitag haben wir im La Pituca getanzt, und die Musik war fantastisch, als sie D'sarle, Pugliese und Tanturi spielte.
Fabiola spielt normalerweise viel Cajenge... was f\u00fcr meinen Geschmack ein bisschen quietschig ist.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wie \u00fcblich zieht diese Milonga la Pituca eine gute Menge aus der Gegend an. Die T\u00e4nzerinnen und T\u00e4nzer tanzen meist im Stil der engen Umarmung mit einer Prise Gesellschaftstango [Gringo Tango].<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Der Raum ist wahrscheinlich etwas kleiner als das El Beso, denn die Tanzfl\u00e4che ist rechteckig und Sitzpl\u00e4tze gibt es nur auf der linken Seite. Dies ist die entrada Seite des Raumes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wir gehen immer zu dieser Milonga, wenn wir in Delray Beach sind. Es ist nur eine 30-min\u00fctige Autofahrt entfernt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Diese Zeit in den USA war sehr arbeitsreich, denn mein 35-j\u00e4hriger Sohn, der n\u00f6rdlich von Seattle lebt, besuchte uns f\u00fcr 4 Tage. Leider war das Wetter nicht gerade w\u00e4rmespendend, da es nur um die 70 Grad warm war, aber immerhin war es fast doppelt so warm wie in Bellingham.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In meinem Hinterhof<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Es war toll, sich \u00fcber das Leben der anderen auszutauschen, denn wir sehen uns manchmal nur einmal oder dieses Jahr sogar zwei Mal. Es ist wirklich toll, Zeit mit der Familie zu verbringen. Wir haben einfach zu Hause abgehangen, haben gekocht, geplaudert, sind spazieren gegangen und haben das Fitnessstudio besucht.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Es ist jetzt Sonntag, der 8. Dezember. Heute Abend fliegen wir nach Venedig und kommen am sp\u00e4ten Montagnachmittag an.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die Wohnung aufzul\u00f6sen und das Packen f\u00fcr die n\u00e4chsten 4 Monate in Buenos Aires zu beenden bedeutet, herauszufinden, was man zur\u00fcckl\u00e4sst und was mitkommt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aber da wir zuerst nach Venedig fahren, wo die Temperatur 48 Grad betr\u00e4gt und m\u00f6glicher Regen vorhergesagt ist. Also habe ich ein paar Pullover und meine warme Jacke mit Wollhandschuhen aus Finnland und mein flippiges rosa Stirnband aus Krakau eingepackt. So werde ich warm bleiben.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wir werden 4 Tage vor der Teilnahme am La Reuni\u00f3n Tango Festival im Hotel San Servelo auf der Isola di San Servolo verbringen. Ich bin aufgeregt, und ich wei\u00df, es ist auch ein bisschen verr\u00fcckt. Es handelt sich um denselben Veranstalter, dessen Festival wir Mitte Juli in Rom besucht haben. Es sind 150 Leute, die alle aus Freude am Tango tanzen zusammenkommen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wenn das Festival vorbei ist, fliegen wir nach BsAs. Das ist ein langer Flug mit einem Umstieg in Madrid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Es wird zwar spannend sein, mit einer neuen Regierung und neuen touristischen Bedingungen nach BsAs zur\u00fcckzukehren, aber f\u00fcr uns geht es immer darum, auf den Milongas zu tanzen und mit Freunden einen Kaffee in einem Caf\u00e9 zu trinken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zu meiner Person: Ich bin in New Jersey geboren, habe in New York, Boston und San Francisco gelebt, zuletzt auf der Insel San Juan im Bundesstaat Washington und bin im Januar 2020 nach Buenos Aires gezogen. 38 Jahre lang kuratierte ich eine Galerie f\\u00fcr zeitgen\\u00f6ssische Kunst, wo ich meine F\\u00e4higkeiten verfeinerte und ein visueller Redakteur wurde. Immer mit einer Kamera oder irgendeinem Bildaufnahmeger\\u00e4t im Schlepptau [einschlie\\u00dflich viel schwerer Ausr\\u00fcstung], begann ich ungef\\u00e4hr zur gleichen Zeit mit dem Reisen und wurde vor etwa 12 Jahren in den Tango eingef\\u00fchrt. VIsuales Geschichtenerz\\u00e4hlen beginnt mit einem Moment. Irgendein innerer Mechanismus wird durch eine Szene, ein Ereignis oder eine Bewegung ausgel\\u00f6st und ... fertig ist das Foto. In anderen F\\u00e4llen geht es um einen Farbsplitter oder etwas anderes Ungew\\u00f6hnliches oder Gew\\u00f6hnliches, das den Blick fesselt. Da ich inzwischen flie\\u00dfend Spanisch spreche, ist es mein Wunsch, dass meine Geschichten und Fotos die breitere Tango-Community und andere Reisende erreichen. In my tango series, I share images shot worldwide, in the places where I have danced: Spain, France, Germany Turkey,Canada,Italy Greece, and the USA, but mostly in Buenos Aires, Argentina. With my written stories, I try to share some of the experiences that have stayed with me... An amazing embrace, a beautiful meal, a slightly uncomfortable life moment at a\u00a0stay a train station or airport. These are the moments we remember. As to my personal info, I was born in New Jersey eventually, after living in New York, Boston, and San Francisco, most recently on San Juan Island in Washington state, I moved to Buenos Aires in January 2020. For 38 years, years I curated a contemporary art gallery, where I refined my skills and became a visual editor. Always with a camera or some picture-capturing device in tow [including much heavy equipment], I started my travel at approximately the same time, was introduced to tango about 12 years ago. VIsual storytelling begins with a moment. Some internal mechanism is triggered by a scene or event or movement and ...there's your photo. Other times, it\u2019s about a sliver of color or something else odd or ordinary that captures the eye. As I am now fluent in Spanish, it is my desire that my stories and photos reach the broader tango community and other travelers. Travelingtango offers translations into Spanish, Italian, and German.
