In questa giornata grigia e piovosa abbiamo concluso il nostro soggiorno di 4 mesi nella citt\u00e0 di Tango.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

E' stato un periodo meraviglioso, in cui abbiamo incontrato alcuni nuovi amici, scoperto molti nuovi ristoranti e soprattutto ballato un sacco di tango!!!<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Cos\u00ec ora ci sediamo nella lounge dell'aeroporto, beviamo DV Catana Malbec e aspettiamo il nostro volo per Miami.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Abbiamo superato il controllo di sicurezza abbastanza facilmente, ma all'ufficio immigrazione ci siamo imbattuti in una situazione interessante.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Anni fa ho richiesto e ottenuto un DNI temporaneo in Argentina... e l'ho usato per uscire ed entrare nel paese. Ma questa volta hanno scoperto che il mio DNI era scaduto. Cos\u00ec ho dovuto pagare la multa per aver superato il periodo di permanenza qui in Argentina.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Quest'anno abbiamo trascurato di andare in Uruguay dopo 90 giorni di vita a Buenos Aires, perch\u00e9 mi ero completamente dimenticata che il mio DNI era scaduto. Non avevo capito che dovevamo lasciare il Paese.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Cos\u00ec all'immigrazione ho dovuto pagare una multa di 12.000 pesos o $ 12 US.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

OMG, \u00e8 pi\u00f9 conveniente pagare la multa che pagare il traghetto per l'Uruguay, non solo perch\u00e9 si pagano circa $ 150 dollari USA andata e ritorno e si perde un giorno della propria vita sui traghetti.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\u00c8 un dilemma interessante.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Ma al mio ritorno rinnover\u00f2 il mio DNI.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Per quanto riguarda le mie informazioni personali, sono nata nel New Jersey e, dopo aver vissuto a New York, Boston e San Francisco, e pi\\u00f9 recentemente a San Juan Island nello stato di Washington, mi sono trasferita a Buenos Aires nel gennaio 2020. Per 38 anni ho curato una galleria d'arte contemporanea, dove ho affinato le mie capacit\\u00e0 e sono diventata una visual editor. Sempre con una macchina fotografica o un dispositivo per catturare immagini al seguito (comprese attrezzature molto pesanti), ho iniziato a viaggiare pi\\u00f9 o meno nello stesso periodo e sono stata introdotta al tango circa 12 anni fa. La narrazione VIsuale inizia con un momento. Un meccanismo interno viene innescato da una scena, un evento o un movimento e... ecco la foto. Altre volte, si tratta di una scheggia di colore o di qualcosa di strano o ordinario che cattura l'occhio. Poich\\u00e9 ora parlo correntemente lo spagnolo, desidero che le mie storie e le mie foto raggiungano la pi\\u00f9 ampia comunit\\u00e0 del tango e altri viaggiatori. In my tango series, I share images shot worldwide, in the places where I have danced: Spain, France, Germany Turkey,Canada,Italy Greece, and the USA, but mostly in Buenos Aires, Argentina. With my written stories, I try to share some of the experiences that have stayed with me... An amazing embrace, a beautiful meal, a slightly uncomfortable life moment at a\u00a0stay a train station or airport. These are the moments we remember. As to my personal info, I was born in New Jersey eventually, after living in New York, Boston, and San Francisco, most recently on San Juan Island in Washington state, I moved to Buenos Aires in January 2020. For 38 years, years I curated a contemporary art gallery, where I refined my skills and became a visual editor. Always with a camera or some picture-capturing device in tow [including much heavy equipment], I started my travel at approximately the same time, was introduced to tango about 12 years ago. VIsual storytelling begins with a moment. Some internal mechanism is triggered by a scene or event or movement and ...there's your photo. Other times, it\u2019s about a sliver of color or something else odd or ordinary that captures the eye. As I am now fluent in Spanish, it is my desire that my stories and photos reach the broader tango community and other travelers. Travelingtango offers translations into Spanish, Italian, and German.
